SpatialDev fills a niche in the geospatial services business by implementing solutions that blend best of breed technology components to meet client requirements. Through experience we have found that a single software 'Geo-Stack' rarely meets all the business requirements and that hybrid solutions ultimately work best. We advise clients to deploy the right technology to meet their business problems and goals. We don't advocate overbuilt proprietary systems if the problem can be solved with something simpler, nor do we build mission critical functions around software with no clear road map or commercial support options.
Our global experience has made us mindful of what works and what does not work in harsh or disconnected environments in the developing world as well as within the most complex IT organizations. There is also significant need to design and implement end-to-end technical solutions designed around principles of simplicity and performance. This addresses another legacy issue of heavy and overly complex architectures that carry too much functionality that may never be used while not doing anything well.

The team has extensive experience building complex applications using enterprise software from ESRI. We have expertise in Oracle Spatial deployment as well as complex, mission critical system-to-system ETL. The extended team has experience in Google Enterprise Fusion deployments in a variety of business domains. We also have practical experience in deploying public facing Open Source solutions using Drupal, Joomla, GeoServer, MapServer, PostGIS and Open Layers. We develop in Python, Java, .Net, PHP, SQL or whatever language or platform is needed to get the job done.
